This jam-friendly hard-hitting Rock’n’Roll quintet is fresh on the Central NY music scene. The RAMBLIN’ BROOKS formed in early 2016 by recent transplant and long-time troubadour Adam Brooks Dudding along with award-winning local musicians Brendan O’Connor Drums, Alex Lavon Bass, Colin Nevison Keys, Zach Collins Guitar. This group of talented performers and long-time members of regional darlings Rabbit In The Rye (Brendan, Alex) and Son Bully/Same Blood Folk (Zach, Colin, Brendan) have joined forces and are having a blast together drawing crowds and conjuring comparisons to classic groups like The Band, Grateful Dead, The Allman Brothers and Wilco while on stage.

In December of 2016 the band recorded at SubCat Studios in Syracuse, NY with the illustrious Jeremy Johnston at the helm and began sharing singles off their upcoming debut EP by Summer 2017. Currently The RAMBLIN’ BROOKS are booking select performances to help promote their studio recordings and entertain live music fans longing to move, groove and be moved.

Adam BROOKS Dudding is an acclaimed songwriter and seasoned guitarist originally from Dayton, Ohio with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in creative writing and guitar performance from Bowling Green State University.

Shortly after releasing his first solo album Horizon – recorded at the infamous Refraze Studios in Dayton, OH – Brooks moved to Columbus, OH in 2001. A guitar teacher by day he was moonlighting at night as the songwriting singer, reluctant front-man and founder of the popular Americana ensemble Bucktown Kickback. Brooks co-produced the group’s 3 independent albums (Speakeasy, Lost In Your Own Hometown, fiction pickin’) as well.

In 2006 Brooks moved to Nashville, TN and began collaborating with talented artists on and off Music Row, forging songs with notable practitioners including Mark Irwin, Jon Pardi, AJ Masters, Mark BrinkmanChris Henry, Charlie Pate, Leith LoftinAlison Clement and many more. After landing a job at the world famous Bluebird Cafe (legendary music venue and ‘mecca’ for songwriters) he not only met his songwriting heroes but was able to listen and learn from Music City’s best on a nightly basis.

In 2012 Brooks’ music began attracting an international audience after spending nearly a year in Shanghai, China where he maintained a vigorous schedule of weekly performances with Inner Mongolian mandolin virtuoso Tom Pang. Upon meeting, the two formed a strong bond and began collaborating almost immediately. Shortly after The Shanghai Newgrass Project was formed they recorded their studio debut In The Moment in 2012 with mutual friends and fellow collaborators Charles Butler, Hanneke Cassel, Shunzi and Jasmine Chen.

Brooks and his family now reside in C.N.Y. where he’s currently rehearsing, performing and working on new material. Teaching guitar at Hamilton College and performing weekly at venues throughout the area whether solo, duo or with the full band, Brooks’ troubadour journey keeps Ramblin’ on!
